- Repair and upgrade pilothouse electronics
- Act as a liaison between the company and external contractors
- Proficient in using industry-standard engineering tools
- Expertise in OEM-level parts craftsmanship and system design
- Manage projects effectively
- Provide accurate and thorough project reports
- Mentor Marine Mechanics, ensuring swift project resolutions
- Skilled in electrical troubleshooting and repair
- Familiar with engineering requirements for various locations such as Alcatraz Island and Pier 33
- Interpret and report lab test data
- Perform tool maintenance as needed
- Ensure adherence to best practices maintenance schedules for all engineering systems
- Hold a Forklift Certification
- Experience in Welding, Brazing, Soldering, and metalwork
- Promote diversity and inclusivity
- Emphasize conservation and environmental stewardship
- Base decisions on data and facts

The selected Engineer will play a crucial role in our Engineering department, being involved in all stages of engineering projects from inception to completion. Responsibilities include formulating hypotheses, conducting tests, collecting data, providing recommendations, and overseeing the entire process. It's essential to display leadership qualities and maintain a positive attitude when faced with engineering challenges. The ideal candidate should have the ability to create new parts and solutions independently from scratch and demonstrate expertise in all aspects of the Marine Mechanic role.
