    Temple Emanuel, a Conservative and egalitarian congregation affiliated with the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism, is home to the largest Jewish congregation in New England.

    We are seeking an experienced EEC-certified Pre-K teacher to join our dynamic team at Temple Emanuel Preschool.

    Responsibilities:

    • Classroom Instruction:
      • Plan and deliver engaging lessons focused on early childhood development.
      • Teach foundational kindergarten readiness skills.
      • Implement a structured classroom environment.
    • Curriculum Development:
      • Participate in weekly joint curriculum planning sessions.
      • Integrate Jewish teachings into daily classroom routines.
    • Judaic Education:
      • Lead children in chanting Hebrew prayers daily.
      • Incorporate simple Hebrew words and phrases into songs and lessons.
      • Engage children in Jewish holiday storytelling and activities.
    • Classroom Management:
      • Maintain a positive and inclusive environment.
      • Foster an atmosphere of respect and cooperation.
    • Collaborative Responsibilities:
      • Be present for all scheduled teaching hours.
      • Work one extended day per week.

    Experience and Qualifications:

    • EEC Certification.
    • Experience in early childhood education.
    • Strong understanding of early childhood development.
    • Knowledge and passion for Jewish customs and traditions.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
