    Position Title: Guest Service Representative
    Report To: Manager on Duty/ Director of Hotel Operations
    Position Description / Summary:
    To check in and out hotel guests in accordance with Golden Nugget standard and act as information resources regarding guest inquires.
    Primary responsibilities for Guest Service Representative:
    • Check in and out of hotel guests.
    • Use of telephone.
    • Answering guest inquiries and giving proper directions.
    • Maintaining guest mail, messages and packages.
    • Cleaning and stocking work areas/transporting necessary supplies from East/West Wings.
    • Assist in maintaining guest credit reports, housekeeping reports, special room assignments, coupon issuance.
    • Approving room charges/posting room charges.
    • Balancing clerk/cashier postings, cash and credit transactions.
    • Use computer and other general office equipment.
    • Interact with all other hotel departments.
    • Safe deposit boxes.
    • Filing registration cards, back-up and all related hotel reports and paper documents.
    • Issuing keys.
    • Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested.
    Qualifications:
    Customer relations skills a must, able to maintain cash bank, telephone use, should be organized able to remember details, use computer and general office equipment. Minimum age requirement is 18.
    • Frequent standing, walking ft.
    • Constant eye/hand coordination, fingering, handling, wrist motion, reaching, twisting, climbing, bending/stooping, lifting, carrying documents up to 10 lbs., balancing, pushing, pulling.
    • Frequently hearing, listening, seeing, and speaking to communicate with guests and employees.
    • Frequent writing, reading, manual dexterity, use of keyboard.
    • Constantly planning, remembering/paying attention to/observing details, making decisions, following directions.
    • Knowledge and use of computer skills, including the Hotel system(LMS).
    • Occasionally sitting.
    • Constant mental alertness.
    Working Conditions:
    • Inside a climate controlled environment.
    • Carpeted and tile surfaces
    • Some moderate noise and smoke.
    • Working with others and sometimes alone.
