    Position Overview:


    Under the direction of the President of SyncLync, the Market Researcher is someone who gathers, analyzes, and interprets data to assist our organization in making strategic decisions.

    Marketing research consists of surveys, interviews, focus groups, and using internal data such as sales records, and customer databases to extract meaningful patterns and trends.

    These insights will guide marketing strategy, product development, and overall business decisions to improve our customer experience with SyncLync. This is a non-supervisory position.


    Responsibilities:

    Market Research:

    • Conduct consumer behavior analysis so we better understand consumer preferences, motivations, and buying habits of our target demographics.
    • Develop competitive analysis on competitors' strategies, market positioning, and product offerings to identify opportunities.
    • Prepare brand research to understand how customers view a brand, their level of loyalty, and our opportunities to enhance brand positioning, messaging, and marketing activities.
    • Maintain customer feedback data so we can continuously improve our product and service offerings.
    • Attend at least 3 industry trade shows each year with detailed competitive reviews after each show.

    Innovation:

    • Identify future opportunities two to three years in advance.
    • Bring two new concepts yearly to the R&D center for further research.

    Product Development Support:

    • Provide feedback on research into market viability.
    • Write briefs outlining the product features related to our target groups.
    • Develop comprehensive positioning statements including price, market demand, and marketing suggestions.

    Marketing/Sales Support:

    • Develop profiles of our competition so we better understand their business priorities.
    • Outline our market approach to the sales team and dealers on why our products are the best in class.
    • Elevate domain authority and build credibility with digital research.

    Marginal Job Functions:

    • Other projects as assigned.
    Requirements


    Education:

    • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field required.
    • Master's degree in business administration preferred.

    Experience:

    • 3 years of product, marketing, sales, or service experience in the hearing aid industry required.
    • 5 or more years of marketing research in another consumer industry preferred.

    Other Requirements:

    • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint required.
    • MS Project preferred.
    • Domestic, local, and international travel will be required.
