- Research architecture requirements for cutting edge Point-to-Point (PTP) and Point-to-Multipoint (PTMP) designs.
- Develop system level and RF Performance requirements for the new radio architecture.
- Potential to lead a small team of Engineers to design, develop, and build tactical radio modules.
- Ensure compliance with ITU/NTIA spectrum standards.
- Shown track-record of innovation in the area of wireless SDR modem/radio design.
- Highly qualified modem systems engineer.
- Deep knowledge of communication system theory, wireless systems, and digital modem design.
- RF Analysis Experience
- Symbol rate throughput, latency, and spectral occupancy analysis, optimization, and regulatory compliance
- Transmit and receive pulse shaping digital filter design
- Carrier/symbol clock offset tracking and recovery
- Familiarity with baseband firmware and hardware development including sub-component and component verification.
- Experience with Matlab and Python for algorithm modeling and development and link-level simulation.
- RF Link Analysis in line-of-sight, beyond line of sight, and satellite communications
- MS or PhD in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 7+ years' experience with a focus on modem and/or radio design
