    Responsibilities


    What You'll Do:
    The Logistician will be providing direct support to the H-1 Fleet Support Team and Program Management Site Office.

    This support will be provided by supplying information and technical data on the latest aircraft configuration, through Technical Directive incorporation, throughout the H-1 community or by specific aircraft.

    The Logistician will be responsible for the assistance in writing, reviewing, routing, and tracking of new Technical Directives.

    The Logistician will also maintain a report on the current aircraft configuration and status of Technical Directives being validated or verified.


    Key Responsibilities:
    Attend meetings to discuss the status of Technical Directives being incorporated or developed.
    Provide scheduled status reports on both Technical Directives and aircraft configurations.
    Provide specific reports and statuses as requested by the customer.
    Review Technical Directives throughout the developmental process.

    Assist Engineers and Logisticians with the development of a Technical Directive; to ensure they are in compliance with the NAVAIR manual.

    Respond to all configuration data calls within the H-1 community.
    Maintain a daily configuration management tracking spreadsheet on Engineering Change Proposals, Rapid Action Minor Engineering Changes, Technical Directives, Validation/Verifications, Material/Kit shipments, Technical Directives in abeyance and manual updates
    Act as an administrator the for H-1 website.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications
    Education

    A BS or BA degree required or allowable substitution (In addition to three (3) years of aircraft life-cycle logistics experience):

    Associate degree plus an additional four (4) years of aircraft acquisition logistics, supply support or maintenance work experience that meets the experience requirements for a Journeyman Logistician, or

    High School Diploma/GED plus an additional six (6) years of aircraft acquisition logistics, supply support or maintenance work experience that meets the experience requirements for a Journeyman Logistician.


    Experience:
    At least three (3) years of direct experience in aircraft life cycle (acquisition or sustaining) logistics.
    Thorough knowledge of the OPNAVINST Naval Aviation Maintenance Program.
    Knowledge of the H-1 Viper and Venom aircraft is preferable, but not required.
    Experienced in communicating with customers, employees, and corporate staff.

    Experienced in the daily use of computers and computer software programs such as, but not limited to, Microsoft (MS) Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook, and Adobe.


    Other Requirements :
    Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.


    Skills & Technology Used:
    Working knowledge of Aviation Acquisition Logistics, Supply Support or Maintenance best practices.

    Familiar with the Decision Knowledge Programming for Logistics Analysis and Technical Evaluation (DECKPLATE) website.
    Proficient with the Naval Air Technical Data & Engineering Service Center (NATEC) website.
    Capable to operate a personal computer, printer, copy machine and other general office equipment.
