HBITS Software Architect Expert (IBM COBOL) 40% REMOTE Albany, NY

Agency Name: Information Technology Services (ITS)

Provide a short description of the Position: Application developer using COBOL, Java and DB2 to assemble data and create correspondence for mailing.

Provide a complete list of the day-to-day tasks to be performed by the Selected Candidate:

• Production support of existing applications
• Analysis, design, coding and unit/integration testing
• Create and update program specification and detail design documentation
• Application performance tuning
• Mentor junior programmers

Position MANDATORY Qualification:

Position Job Title Description: Makes high-level design choices and dictates technical standards, including software coding standards, tools, and platforms. Designs multi-leveled architecture or component interactions of a large scale software system.

Position Skill Level: Expert

Position Skill Level Description: 84+ Months: Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.

List all the Position REQUESTED Qualifications:

• 84 months of IBM Mainframe COBOL programming experience
• 84 months of experience developing tax processing systems in a federal, state or municipal agency
• 84 months of IBM DB2 for z/OS experience
• 84 months of JCL experience
• 48 months of IBM MQ Series experience
• 48 months of experience writing technical design specification documents
• 60 months of experience with Java programming in an IBM environment development using IBM's Rational Application Developer (RAD) and Websphere Application Server (WAS)
