    We are seeking a professional Electrical Lead Engineer to join our Buildings & Facilities division STV specializes in the planning, organization, and development of engineering activities for the construction and maintenance of building structures and facilities.

    Our Engineers work on high quality, high-profile, national and international projects. You will actively participate in the full project cycle, from the design phase through the final construction close-out.

    Responsibilities:

    You will have the opportunity to:

    • Apply client and departmental design guidelines and/or drafting standards in daily work assignments with guidance from senior staff
    • Ensure that layer names, line types, text sizes, and drawing arrangements are in accordance with standards as set forth on the Project
    • Lead projects from start to finish
    • Manage budget and schedule for the project's resources and deliverables
    • Participate in or lead squad check drawing package reviews
    • Plan own daily work and the work of other team members
    • Be able to read, interpret, and check vendor drawings and vendor catalogs
    • Travel independently to and conduct site surveys to document electrical, instrumentation, and controls at existing client sites and facilities (~ 5% of time)

    Required Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
    • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
    • Registered Professional Engineer - P.E. License is preferred
    • Strong working knowledge of building and energy codes
    • Working knowledge of industry standards: UL, API, NFPA, IEEE, IES, Energy Codes (ASHRAE), etc.
    • Proficient with power system studies using EasyPower, SKM or ETAP
    • Proficient with specifying, designing installations, & protective relay settings for medium voltage electrical equipment (motors, transformers, switchgear, MCC, VFDs)
    Proficient with:
    • 480 V and below power electrical equipment:
      • (switchgear, MCC, transformers, VFDs, etc.) and calculations: Conduit Fill, Cable Tray Fill, Voltage Drop, Transformer Sizing, Neutral Sizing, GEC sizing, Feeder/Conductor Sizing, Panelboard Sizing, Sizing Lighting Loads, Overcurrent Protection Device sizing, Motor controls, Lighting and lighting controls, Grounding, Fire alarm systems, etc.
    Proficient with:
    • AutoCAD, BIM/REVIT
    • MS Word and Excel
      • SKM and AGi Lighting Software
      • Adobe Acrobat / Bluebeam PDF Revu
      • creating drawings and documents from scratch or site surveys such as: wiring diagrams, electrical interconnects, panel layouts, junction box design, plot plans, loop diagrams, cable/conduit schedules, panelboard schedules, electrical installation details
    • Excellent interpersonal relationship skills
    • Good verbal and written communication skills in English
    • Excellent mentoring skills to help train less experienced designers and engineers.
