    Description


    The Transport Engineer Role is responsible for providing end to end technical oversight related to the generation of equipment configurations and IP assignments.

    These projects focus on the expansion of the 4G, 5G and CBand networks.


    The candidate will be responsible for creating various types for Samsung and Nokia equipment configuration files, generated through various vendor tools such as Nokia Service Portal.


    The scope of this role will also include several CBand config/IP related tasks such as the creation of LS3/LS6 router configs, LS3/LS6 Conquest IP responsibilities, CBand bandwidth upgrade generated configs and the Granite work required for bandwidth upgrades.

    Additionally, this role will include all Fuze SPM updates associated with these tasks to ensure full transport progress visibility across all teams.


    • Tasked with creating router configuration files for multiple transport solutions such as Dark Fiber, LIT-Eline and 3rd Party fiber circuits
    • Tasked with providing technical support and project management for the design, acquisition, and implementation for all equipment supporting Network infrastructure projects including, but not limited to DWDM and SONET Optical transport systems deployed throughout the Telecommunication Network.
    • Tasked with contributing to an engineering database for documentation of all transport equipment and design paths.
    • The position regularly works with Network planning on strategic initiatives, to develop future technology solutions, and features and growth jobs on existing products that support our infrastructure.
    • The position regularly works with other group's forecasts to ensure equipment growth projects meet expectant demands in support of the company's objectives.
    What we're looking for...


    • Bachelor's degree or three or more years of relevant work experience
    • Knowledge and experience with Granite/CND database
    • Familiarity with Samsung and Nokia Transport and RAN equipment

    Even better if you have:

    • Technical degree; Bachelor's degree preferred
    • Experience in the cellular/telecommunications industry in a Transport engineering role.
    • In depth knowledge and advanced proficiency in CWDM/DWDM Optical Transport systems including: Ciena, Alcatel-Client
    • Familiarity with Dark Fiber vendors, their organizational processes and standards, as well as their network portfolio maps is preferred.

    Proficient in office computer applications:
    Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project.

    • Strong interpersonal and communications skills needed.
    • Highly productive and pay close attention to detail.


    This role will be expected to work out of the office on Tues and Wed, with the other three days being remote.
