Job summary
The Dental Assistant supports dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials; passing instruments and materials; performing procedures in compliance with the standards and general dental practice act.This individual performs basic supportive dental procedures specified by the state dental practice act and by rule of the Georgia Board of Dentistry under the direct supervision of a licensed Dentist.

Responsibilities
- Helps with administrative tasks in the office such as scheduling and record-keeping
- Pprepares and captures X-rays and CBCT of clients. Greets clients upon arrival
- Advises clients on proper oral hygiene
Sterilizes equipment and instruments follows proper hygienic protocol >Provides instrumentation sterilizing delivering-instruments treatment area positioning-instruments dentist access suctioning passing-instruments four-handed dentistry >, Maintains patient confidence protects operations keeping information confidential
>Monitors schedules helps fill cancellations internally re-call
>Provides excellent customer service ensure smooth comfortable visit clientsDisinfect operatories after each treatment Adheres confidentiality state federal HIPPA laws guidelines regarding clients records Follows OSHA company safety policies procedures Ensure-treatment areas fully-stockedFollows laboratory-procedures office protocol Capture processing-impressions traditional-methods pouring trimming study-casts scanner Helps dentist manage-emergency situations maintaining CPR BLS certification emergency drug supply telephone directory Completion other duties assigned by DentistJob description
