    PM LeaderPOSITION DETAILSPosition SummaryThe Program Manager supports all aspects of the Defense customer contract management from initial RFQ/RFP thru to product delivery and final invoicing.

    This critical position will work closely with account managers, Engineering, Operations & other departments to provide support and guidance to assure that contracts are completed on schedule and budget.

    This position is the primary customer program management representative for large multiyear contracts and major new product programs.

    Principal ActivitiesResponsible for integrated program schedules, data integration, tracking of financial and quality performance, and implementation of corrective actions covering all areas of program responsibility.

    Addresses critical issues on complex programs and drives the team to develop action plans to improve performance.
    Conduct regular team project status reviews for projects. Revise project metrics and refocus teams as necessary to ensure project requirements are met.

    Head up project gate reviews in line with project timing and internal NPI process requirements with a focus on contract/on-time delivery.

    Assist account managers with large proposal preparation and submittals. Assure proposals are compliant per company policy & delivered on time to the customer.
    Coordinate program reviews with the customer for major contracts.

    Review new contracts and modifications, prepare detail instructions for order entry and assure other departments (QA & Engineering) complete their reviews in a timely manner.

    Assist in the development of Government accounting rates; coordinate negotiations and rate approval with DCAA/DCMA and shipyard customers.
    Prepare small business reports for quotes and orders as required for Government orders per FAR and DFARS clauses. Provide report updates twice yearly via the eSRS reporting system online. Support account managers with small business proposal documents and reports.

    Create/Maintain complete documentation records for contracts in accordance with guidelines and federal requirementsManage and suggest remedy of all disputes, claims and terminations of assigned contracts.

    Perform other contract-related duties as assigned by management.

    Familiar with ERP system and order processing of engineered products.
    Knowledge of basic accounting & business law standards.

    Proficient in the use of business applications software (MS Office) and the ability to use specialized project management (MS Project) applications.

    High level of initiative, attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
    Ability to work under time-sensitive deadlines with minimal supervision.
    Must be US citizen to meet US Defense requirements.

    Ability to obtain a government clearance for all candidatesEducation & ExperienceBachelors degree (BS/BA) in Engineering, Sciences, Business or related field; minimum of 5 years prior program or significant project management experience.

    PMP certification preferred, required within 1 year of hire date.
    Government contracts experience including knowledge of the FAR, DFARS highly desire.
