    What we do:
    The Lead Embedded Application Software Architect is responsible for the architecture of the application software for our production vehicle.

    This role collaborates with engineering departments to come up with an electrical hardware architecture for the vehicle and design the software architecture hosted on this hardware architecture and considers factors such as certifiability and future performance upgrades and begins the implementation of this software.

    Supernal provides an inviting open-space workplace designed to foster collaboration, which aligns with one of our core values. This position is required to work on-site 5 days a week.

    What you can do:
    Design the software architecture for our vehicle
    Manage and contribute to the technical implementation of the avionics application architecture by the software team
    Design and implement guidelines/procedures for the development of embedded safety-critical avionics application functions
    Develop requirements for the embedded software applications that are compliant with the application architecture
    Develop embedded avionics applications to the requirements
    Assist in building a lab for the testing and integration of the avionics applications and systems
    Work directly with simulated, laboratory, and field test data to debug the software
    Interview candidates for the software team
    Produce documentation in support of avionics systems certification to required standards
    Partner with PMO organization to execute build plan
    May require up to 10% of domestic and international travel
    Other duties as assigned

    What you can contribute:
    Bachelor's degree in engineering or other related fields required; Master's preferred
    Minimum of ten (10) years industry experience (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered)
    Experience in avionics software, either military or civilian
    Experience with modeling tools (Matlab/Simulink or SCADE Suite)
    Experience in building/using an integration test lab for avionics testing/qualification
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    Proactive delivery of communication and follow up
    Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
    Must have the ability to independently prioritize and accomplish work within time constraints
    Proficiency with Excel VLOOKUP, pivot tables, MS Office Suite
    You may also be able to contribute:

    Experience with civilian aircraft development processes (ARP-4754, ARP-4761, DO-178C, DO-254) preferred
    Experience with display generation tools (any of iData, VapsXT, SCADE Display, GL Studio) preferred

    Base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location. This position is also eligible for a bonus as part of total compensation.

    The pay range for this position is:
