    Johnson Service Group, a nationally recognized staffing firm, is targeting a Medium Voltage Field Service Resident Engineer for our industrial manufacturing client in the Cameron, LA area. The incumbent would be responsible for providing technical support (onsite and off) and expertise to site work requests, phone calls, and emails regarding commissioning, installations, troubleshooting and maintenance for Medium Voltage drives. This is an onsite role at customer facilities, low travel required.

    Responsibilities:
    • Serve as a technical liaison between departments to resolve/address complex problems and inquiries, investigating and initiating effective measures for solutions while coordinating activities to achieve customer satisfaction.
    • Collaborate with local/global support to troubleshoot and perform repair work on medium voltage drive under warranty, executing actions within the framework of warranty policies, balancing customer satisfaction with cost control.
    • Perform commissioning and troubleshooting at customer installations, maintaining communications with other departments to stay ahead of product releases and accurately provide feedback. Engineer will be assigned as a resident engineer representative.
    • Ability to apply mathematical concepts, statistical inferences, probability, data definitions/collections, and technical instructions.
    • Utilize SAP and other service tools to maintain communication, contribute to support line feedback, maintain technical competence in troubleshooting and repair of medium voltage drives.
    • Independently own cases, while self-guiding and following proper policies and procedures within the company management system.
    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree, Electrical Engineering.
    • 3 to 5 years' experience with installations, testing, repairs and troubleshooting of AC and DC drive systems, along with associated controls.
    • Interpretation of engineering documents, manuals, and technical specifications.
    • Preferred experience with MV(Medium Voltage) drives
    • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
    • Strong communication regarding inquiries, complaints, vendors, regulatory agencies, customers, and internal team members.
    • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work within the US.
