- Candidate must hold an approved State of Michigan teaching certificate with a SA Cognitive Impairment or SM Learning Disabled or SE Emotional Impairments Endorsement.
- An additional endorsement and highly qualified status is preferred but not required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Education or related fields
- Skilled with documenting services provided to students
- Ability to balance a caseload and meet deadlines for paperwork requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Ability to create meaningful IEP goals and objectives;
- Ability to interpret standardized testing results;
- Ability to effectively interact with students with a wide variety of behavioral, emotional and socio-economic needs in addition to academic needs.
