    Job Description


    The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for the financial analysis and support of multiple sales groups in the US Sales organization.

    The Senior Financial Analyst will participate in budgeting, forecasting, sales reporting, and month-end processes.

    This position is a business partner to the Sales Team and has heavy interaction with

    Operations, Operations Finance, Sales Compensation, and the Information Technology group.


    The ideal candidate will have an analytical approach to problem solving coupled with strong interpersonal communication skills necessary to interact with all areas of the company.

    Responsibilities

    Work is typically performed under minimal daily supervision, receiving guidance about the work that needs to be completed. Able to exercise high level of discretion and latitude in completing tasks.
    Analyze income and balance sheet statements, consolidated statements, and various other accounting statements and reports.
    Preparing monthly financial information utilizing the applicable support systems. Duties include preparing journal entries, coding invoices, reconciling the balance sheet and analyzing variances.
    Work with Sales Leadership in the preparation and presentation of monthly and quarterly forecasts, cash management and business reviews.
    Performs complex financial analysis. Analyze and evaluate the company's operating results and financial position. Analyze options for company improvement on expenses. Prepare product line profitability analysis.
    Assists in annual budget preparation and periodic forecasts.
    Lead the coordination of accounting and sales reporting matters with other departments, locations, and plant as needed.
    Serve as resource for management in effecting efficiency and cost improvements.
    Serve as Subject Matter Expert for Sales Applications, Tools and Sales Reporting dashboards.
    Functions as team lead within the department on certain projects and on inter-departmental task forces as needed.
    Identifies and frequently implements ideas or practices for improved efficiency and/or accuracy.
    Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.
    Analyzes financial reports, making studies or recommendations relative to the accounting for reserves, assets, expenditures, revenues, etc.

    Qualifications


    Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting with 5-7 years of relevant work experience OR demonstrated ability to meet the job requirements through a number of years of applicable work experience.

    Able to apply broad work experience and knowledge when analyzing complex problems. Must be able to consistently identify critical elements, variables, and alternatives to develop solutions and respond appropriately.
    Organize/prioritize existing resources and incorporate new information, as needed, to implement the most effective solutions. Able to apply excellent business acumen and collaborative skills when resolving problems.
    Must be able to work with senior level management throughout the company to analyze financial situations and make recommendations.
    Strong technical skills utilizing Microsoft Office required. SAP, Essbase and Business Objects knowledge highly desired. Able to demonstrate continued expertise in the primary tools or applications used in completing assignments.
    Excellent problem solving, communication & interpersonal skills required.

    The national pay range for this role is $62800 to $111400 / year. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location of the hired employee.

    The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to:
    education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location.

    In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
