Halliwell is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Entry Level Forensic Engineer.
In this role, you will be responsible for assisting senior engineers in conducting investigations and analyzing data related to forensic engineering projects.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for recent graduates to gain valuable hands-on experience in the field of forensic engineering.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist senior engineers in conducting on-site investigations of accidents, failures, and other incidents involving structures
Collect and analyze data, including photographs, measurements, and witness statements, to determine the cause and extent of damage or failure
Prepared detailed reports documenting investigation findings, analysis results, and recommendations for corrective actions
Communicate effectively with engineers, clients, peers, and other stakeholders
Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, stakeholders, and team members throughout the investigation and analysis process
Key Requirements include:
Bachelor's degree in civil/Structural Engineer – Master's degree preferred
0-3 years of structural design and forensic structural engineering experience
Engineer-in-Training- Certification
Working knowledge of building codes ASCE 7, ACI 318, AISC 360, AISC 341, AISC358, NDS (plus), TMS 402 (plus), ASCE 41 (plus), International Building Code (plus), International Existing Building Code (plus).
Willingness to travel and work in various environments, including construction sites, industrial facilities, and accident scenes both domestic and internationallyWillingness and ability to access and inspect, among others. attics, crawlspaces, roofs etc.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Bluebeam Revu, Auto Cad (plus), Revit (plus), RISA 2D and/or other structural analysis software (plus)
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
