    Operations Coordinator


    This position requires Public Trust clearance or the ability to obtain a Public Trust to be considered.

    This position supports the Defense Health Agency, Armed Forces Health Surveillance Division (AFHSD). The position requires providing superior operational support to a dynamic team of scientific professionals. Accordingly, a high degree of administrative expertise and responsiveness is required.

    Must have previous military experience, as this person must interact with senior-level Navy, Army, and Air Force public health leaders.


    Compensation & Benefits:
    Estimated Starting Salary Range for

    Operations Coordinator :
    $80,000 to $85,000.

    Pay commensurate with experience.

    Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

    Work location:
    Work week consist of On-site and tele-work.


    Operations Coordinator Responsibilities Include:
    Serving as the POC for weekly and ad hoc staff meetings.

    This includes scheduling, confirmation of presenters, preparation of agendas, meeting room/teleconference/web collaboration set up, advanced preparation of documents/meeting information for leadership, and meeting minute preparation.

    Assisting staff in producing and submitting presentations, abstracts, and ad hoc reports, including routing through AFHSD, DHA, and OPSEC approval processes.

    Preparing and editing memorandums, letters, documents, and spreadsheets as requested using appropriate formats.
    Maintaining branch calendars.
    Providing advice on workflow and operational procedures to increase efficiency and productivity.

    Coordinating travel arrangements using the Defense Travel System (DTS), including routing and tracking approvals, preparing travel orders, scheduling transportation/hotels, and completing payment vouchers.

    Scheduling visits, notifying organizations and officials to be visited, arranging for local transportation, and facilitating visitor request coordination.

    Assisting with branch task management to include distribution of requests to appropriate team members, collating responses from team members, and provisioning consolidated responses to the Technical Lead for review.

    Performs other job-related duties as assigned

    Operations Coordinator Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
    Bachelor's Degree preferred.
    5+ years' experience in administrative management
    Must have prior experience working in a Military/DoD environment.
    Must be able to pass a secret-level background investigation.
    Microsoft Office Suite
    Defense Travel System DTS desired
    Excellent analytic, writing, and verbal communication skills
    Strong sense of urgency, flexibility, and the ability to multitask.
    Strong attention to detail
    Team player, respectful of others, with a high level of professional and personal integrity
    Time management
    Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
