    Job Summary: The Assistant Chief Nursing Officer (ACNO) provides clinical leadership in conjunction with the CNO oversees the quality and efficiency of our patient care and assumes the responsibility for nursing administrative decisions in the absence of the CNO. Areas of focus include nursing staff and assignments, performance evaluation, clinical and administrative decision-making related to nursing care, and continuous improvement of nursing. This is an administrative and strategic planning role that involves maintaining standards of care, monitoring nursing staff improvements, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. The ACNO will guide our health care organizations in practices that go beyond work with nursing professionals to encompass efforts with a variety of medical professionals. This role will communicate issues to hospital leadership and CNO and be expected to assist CNO in leadership around daily operations of nursing departments/areas. The ACNO must be able to handle a high volume, fast-paced environment with a pleasant disposition. Must be able to multitask with attention to detail. Along with these duties, ACNO is responsible for training nursing managers, assisting nursing managers with initiative follow-through in their departments, monitoring nursing quality and providing guidance/input for implementation of nursing initiatives.

    Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Minimum of 7+ years' experience in patient care as a RN
    • Minimum of 5 years' experience in patient care management
    • Prior experience as a Nursing Leader preferred.
    • Current Registered Nursing License to practice in the State of NM
    • Current BLS and ACLS Certifications
    • Meet all Employee Health Requirements
