The paramedic in an Emergency Department setting is anessential part of the clinical team to help provide efficient and quality care to our patient population.

Theparamedic assists in the initial evaluation and workup of the patient by taking vital signs, starting IVs, performingEKGs, and transporting patients to the appropriate rooms.

The paramedic also assists in the general throughputof the emergency department by providing support to the nurses throughout the department by rounding onpatients and performing all skills within their scope of practice to help our patient population.
