    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dynamic Project Accountant to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to make a significant impact on our organization.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Apply accounting standards and procedures to routine transactions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
    • Manage the day-to-day operation of one or more accounting applications, including accounts payable, general accounting, and subordinate sections.
    • Process vendor & subcontractor invoices, client invoices, back charges, bank reconciliations, and petty cash reconciliations in a timely manner.
    • Investigate discrepancies on invoices or reports by collaborating with other departments, project controllers, construction and operations, and vendors and subcontractors.
    • Maintain cost-effective methods and provide recommendations to supervisors.
    • Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
    • Prepare special reports and complete other accounting projects as directed by supervisors.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Business/Accounting /Finance or related field from an accredited institution and five (5) or more years of construction accounting experience.
    • Experience working on projects valued at 150 million or more in the greater NYC area.
    • Strong knowledge of general construction accounting, auditing, payroll, and invoicing.
    • Ability to maintain data integrity and accuracy, using data to identify and solve problems.
    • Excellent planning, organizational, and prioritization skills to manage multiple tasks within a defined time period.
    • Strong conceptual and analytical skills.
    • Proficiency in Word and Excel, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Frequent travel between Manhattan and Brooklyn locations may be required.

    Compensation

    Annual salary will be commensurate with required experience.
