- Proactively communicates with individual squadrons to ensure link connectivity in every flight and troubleshoot as required during training evolutions.
- Utilize all functionality of JRE in order to meet specific training event requirements.
- Through CSMs, coordinates with and trains designated range personnel in the daily operation of TDL equipment.
- Coordinates TDL settings with all training network participants.
- Supports tactical data link design in validated operational requirements to include cost analysis, optimization studies, engineering studies, integration, and installation. Works with the engineering department for capability improvements and with configuration management to maintain and document TDL baselines.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Three years of experience in tactical data and information links in the past five years
- 5 years of experience in Navy Key Management Infrastructure
- Three years' computer/electronic systems operations/maintenance in the following areas:
- MIDS / JRE / CMN-4
- Digital/analog signal processing;
- Video/audio signal processing and recording;
- Communications (Network/multiplexer equipment, routers, fiber-optic, data encryption equipment);
- Digital computer systems
- Auto-transfer (UPS) equipment
- Three years of experience in computer systems analysis (hardware/software), computer programming, LAN support (including server and workstations).
- Linux Operating System (OS) and network administration experience.
- Microsoft Windows (OS) and network administration experience.
- Formal training in tactical data and information links
- Multiple Tactical Data Link experience (Link-11, Link- 16, etc.)
- Joint Range Extension (JRE) operations experience
- NAVEDTRA A KMI PQS.
- Must maintain current CPR/First Aid certification.
- CompTIA Security+ or Network+
- Operating System Training (Linux or Windows OS)
- Must maintain licenses and/or credentials required for this position.
- Ability to speak, read, and write English.
- Must be able to work independently and interact well with others in a team setting.
- Must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high-volume environment with multiple priorities.
- Highly motivated, flexible organized and must be detail oriented.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to maintain ability to access government worksite.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an interim security clearance.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a fully adjudicated security clearance.
- Must have practical knowledge of worksite safety, occupational hazards and standard safety practices.
- Must be able to work alternate and extended shift schedules when necessary to meet the mission requirements of the customer to include weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to perform on-call duties when necessary and report to work within the required timeframe from notification.
- Typical office environment with no unusual hazards
- Physically fit to bend, stoop, and lift in awkward positions and able to lift up to 60 lbs.
- Duties will require frequent periods of bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, and reaching above shoulder level, and kneeling. Occasionally require periods of crawling and climbing.
- Must have and maintain a valid state driver's license to operate a company vehicle.
- Must have a safe driving record, as defined by Company policy, to operate a company vehicle.
