    Your role at Simtra BioPharma Solutions:

    Simtra Bio Pharma Solutions is looking for an enthusiastic, fast paced data warehouse and business intelligence architect to join an exciting opportunity for a ground up implementation of data and BI platform getting data from many Sales, Financial, Planning & Factory applications and provide best in class analytics and reporting for all levels in a pharma manufacturing company.

    The BI Architect will report to VP, Technology and will lead the end-to-end solution of building a cloud data warehouse platform, implementing ETL tools to pull data from source systems, model the data in data warehouse, understanding the business analytics requirement across multiple business functions and delivering the best-in-class enterprise reporting.


    What you'll do:


    Work with multiple business partners in various functions sales, marketing, finance, purchasing, supply chain and manufacturing to understand their data and reporting needs.

    Create a reporting and metrics catalog and work with consulting partners to build and execute a project plan to deliver the reporting needs.

    Architect a modern data platform which will be a combination of a cloud data warehouse/data lake, set of ETL tools, data quality tools and standards and an enterprise reporting tool for consumption of data.

    Lead the ETL tool implementation for building data pipelines for batch/real-time and near real time data into data lake.
    Define the standards for data modeling to support self-service reporting.
    Implement data retention and archival policies.
    Implement data security and governance standards for right access and PII data for European GDPR.
    Create a framework to measure data quality and report data quality issues in a timely fashion.
    Over time, create a data science platform to solve ML/AI used cases in factory.
    Lead a team of data and BI engineers to develop data pipelines and reports. Ability to work with onshore and offshore contracting teams will be required.
    Document the QA/testing and develop standards and guidelines. Implement a robust SDLC and CI/CD framework for all code and reports going into production.
    Review and monitor project teams' adherence to design standards & implementation framework.
    Create a support process, SLAs, monitoring, alerting to support production break-fixes.

    What you'll bring:
    Bachelor degree required. Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business Analytics field preferred.
    15+ years of experience in building and maintaining large data warehouses.
    5+ years of experience in implementing cloud data warehouses from scratch.
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    Experience in managing onsite and offshore consultants for timely and quality delivery.
    Strong, hands-on experience in cloud data platforms like Snowflake, Databricks
    Strong experience in using modern ETL tools like Fivetran, dbt, Matillion or native Azure service like Azure Data Factory.
    Proven experience to use native storage, compute and data ingestion service in Azure and AWS cloud
    Hands-on and deep experience in implementing Power BI architecture and creating reports in Power BI
    Very strong in writing SQL and code in Python.
    Expertise with queuing systems like Kafka, Solace.

    Experience in understanding PLC data in manufacturing facility and building data platforms and analytics on it is a big plus.

    Experience in ingesting data from Microsoft Dynamics and creating embedded reporting using Power BI is a big plus.
