    SPAs Sea Land Air (SLA) Division supports a diverse portfolio of national security government clients, including the Undersea Enterprise, the Navy Surface Community, the Navy MPTE Enterprise, the Army, DoD Agencies, DARPA, OSD, international clients including the Canadian Navy and Australian Defense Force.


    Our primary objective is to provide timely, objective and analytic assessments that integrate the policy, operational, technical, programmatic and acquisition aspects of our clients challenges.


    Leveraging both in-domain and cross-domain expertise to maximize our clients success, SLA Division acts as trusted agents to senior decision-makers and key leaders and excels at providing data driven analytic insights, systems engineering, strategies and plans that address current and emerging challenges to national security.


    The Undersea Platform Analysis Group (UPAG), within the Sea, Land, Air Division, provides timely, objective, analytic assessments that integrate technical, operational, programmatic, policy and business analysis to NAVSEA Team Submarine program offices and key stakeholders surrounding submarine platform construction.


    Team Submarine unifies submarine platform procurement activities, which includes the Columbia-class SSBN program (a Major Defense Acquisition Program and the Navys top acquisition priority), the Virginia-class SSN program and the new SSN-X program (developing the next generation attack submarine), to bring improved capabilities to our undersea forces.


    Analysts and Engineers supporting Team Submarine will continue SPAs decades of support to the SSBN force, as well as supporting oversight of cutting-edge attack submarine construction, assisting in developing the design requirements for the SSN platform of the future, and helping plan and execute new and innovative strategies to strengthen the critical submarine shipbuilding industrial base.

    These are high-profile, major acquisition and manufacturing programs of significant importance to the future capabilities of the US Navy in an era of renewed strategic competition.

    SPA has an immediate need for an Engineering/Financial Management Analyst in West Bethesda, MD (NSWC Carderock).


    Responsibilities:


    The Engineering/Financial Management Analyst will coordinate engineering functions and provide program management support to undersea platform acquisition activities and warfare centers, with a focus on supporting client leadership decision making through detailed analysis and coordination.


    In this role, you should expect to independently engage with client leadership and SPA team members to identify and address program planning and execution needs, utilizing a familiarity with Government financial analysis, program management, and data analysis.

    This position is located in West Bethesda, MD, with the potential for light telework.

    Qualifications:

    Bachelors degree in a STEM field, engineering preferred
    3+ years experience supporting Navy or other DoD program or project management efforts, and p

    roven experience analyzing program financial data, schedules, and procurement plans to support regular senior leader decision making, with the ability to simplify complex problems and make actionable recommendations
    Experience working with an interdisicplinary team, and ability to take initiative to independently tackle analytic challenges
    Data analysis tool experience (VBA and/or Python)
    Proficient in using Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and Power Point to analyze data and eloquently communicate to decision makers
    Current DoD security clearance - minimum Secret, with the ability to maintain it throughout employment

    Additional Qualifications Desired, but not required:
    Experience with Defense Acquisition System DoD 5000 series and Navy or DoD program planning
    Experience with and knowledgeable of the Navy requirements and program office organizations and processes
