    Job Summary:

    About the Role & Team

    Financial Reporting is the organization within the Controllership that leads and facilitates the segment's financial reporting processes, including the production of all results and supporting analysis for SEC reporting and segment management reporting. In addition, the team has direct responsibility for the financial statement consolidation of the individual financial reporting processes for business areas within the Disney Experiences segment. Specifically, the Disney Vacation Club Financial Reporting Team prepares monthly, quarterly, and year-to-date financial statements and analyzes variances to forecast, plan, and prior year for admissions, room rentals, merchandise, F&B, participant income, and other revenue-producing lines of business.

    Typical responsibilities of a Financial Reporting Analyst include completing recurring monthly financial reporting results, quarter-end tasks, and other projects as assigned by Management.

    What You Will Do
    • Support the preparation, analysis, and presentation of financial results
    • Process journal entries, prepare account reconciliations, and assist with ad-hoc requests and/or projects related to the financial documents
    • Perform various control and compliance procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP and SOX requirements, including, but not limited to, account reconciliations, journal entries, hierarchy setup and maintenance, and Minimum Control Standards questionnaires
    • Take ownership of segment deliverables
    • Perform complex key analytics to inform Leadership of results
    • Provide guidance and lead ad-hoc requests and/or special projects for Disney Vacation Club Financial Reporting, and other Controllership initiatives
    • Maintain documentation for business processes
    • Lead operational improvement efforts
    • Assist with internal and external audits
    • Serve as a liaison between Financial Reporting and Finance
    Required Qualifications & Skills
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting or Finance
    • 1-2+ years of accounting experience
    • Shown understanding of general accounting and internal controls
    • Ability to prepare and present information to support decision-making
    • Strong analytical and writing skills and the ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written)
    • Good communication skills and ability to build relationships
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Timeshare industry
    • Experience with SAP or large ERP systems
    • Proven understanding of Microsoft Access
    • Ability to plan and prioritize work and balance multiple priorities
    • Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented
    • Identifies operational improvement opportunities and provides solutions
    • Ability to be flexible with work schedule
