    Role Description

    This is a full-time on-site role as a Director of Fabrication at 3RD AVE in the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area. As the Director of Fabrication, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the fabrication department, ensuring high-quality fabrication of immersive brand experiences. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement fabrication strategies, manage budgets and timelines, and ensure the delivery of exceptional projects. This role requires strong leadership, project management, and technical skills in fabrication and experiential design.

    Qualifications

    • Must have 10+ years of skilled trade experience in set construction (carpentey, welding and or techincal CAD design)
    • Minimum of 5+ years of management experience in event fabrication, scenic construction, or related field
    • Proven experience in managing and leading a fabrication team made up of carpenters, welders, scenics and installers
    • Ability to build out a team of carpenters, installers, welders and scenics
    • Expertise in fabrication techniques, materials, and processes
    • Strong understanding in build safety
    • Strong understanding of engineering and fire requirements of large scale builds
    • Strong project management skills, including budgeting and timeline management
    • Proficiency in understanding techniques and practices for builds ranging from 10sf to 20,000sf
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
    • Experience in the experiential design, event production, or related industry is a plus
    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred but not required
    • Must provide 3 references
    • Must provide portfolio of past builds you managed, and projects you have physically built
