The Inglewood Unified School District (District) is seeking an Assistant Superintendent, Business Services/Chief Business Official.

Under the direction of the County Administrator/Superintendent, the Assistant Superintendent of Business Services/Chief Business Official serves as the senior administrative officer and principal advisor concerning all business and fiscal matters; provides leadership and assumes management responsibility for all business services operations of the district including forecasting financial commitments, fiscal management, contracts, auditing, facilities, attendance accounting, information technology, maintenance and operations, food services, risk management, district investments and financing instruments, purchasing, warehousing, duplicating and energy management systems, and transportation.

The District is nestled in the vibrant and transformative city of Inglewood, renowned as the mecca of sport and entertainment, boasting iconic venues like the Forum, SoFi Stadium, Intuit Dome, and the YouTube Theater. Dedicated to excellence, the District is a beacon of learning and growth, with a commitment to shaping future leaders. Serving over 7,000 students at 17 sites, our mission is to nurture, educate, and graduate students who are self-responsible and self-disciplined; critical and creative thinkers; masters of the core academic disciplines; and advocates for equity and social justice for themselves and their community.

The District has a General Fund budget of $215 million. The District is also supported by a bond, the Inglewood Educational Foundation, and receives significant support from a host of community groups and sports teams including the Los Angeles Rams, Clippers, and Chargers.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

A bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university with a major in business administration, public administration, or a closely related field is required. A master's degree in business administration is highly desirable.
A minimum of five or more years of experience with demonstrated success in school business finance and accounting or comparable public agency experience with at least three of these years in a management capacity overseeing multiple functions and staff is required. Managerial experience in a local educational agency is highly preferred. Contact:
