    Job DescriptionPhantom Canyon is Colorado Springs' original brewpub

Since opening in 1993, we continue honoring the spirit of the Phantom Canyon and Chief Two Moons by dedicating ourselves to giving Colorado Springs the best beer, the best food and the best hospitality we can. All three levels of our building share stories from brew and food lovers of all walks of life, making us one of the best restaurants in Colorado Springs.

    Position Summary

    Line Cooks prepare food to the exact chefs specifications and play a key role in contributing to exceeding our guests expectations.

    Responsibilities
    • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
    • Inspect and clean food preparation areas, such as equipment and work surfaces to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices
    • Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
    • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
    • Answer, report and follow executive or sous chefs instructions
    • Clean up station and take care of leftover food
    • Stock inventory appropriately
    • Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
    • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
    • Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stock
    • Ensure food is stored and cooked at correct temperatures
    • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and guests
    • Respond to guest feedback with appropriate urgency and professionalism
    • Train and teaching other employees
    • Complete side work as directed by the supervisor
    • Other duties as assigned by management
    • Maintains regular and punctual attendance

    Qualifications and Requirements
    • Prior experience as a Chef, Cook or Prep Cook in a high volume and fast paces kitchen
    • Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
    • Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
    • Familiar with industrys best practices
    • Ability to follow instructions
    • Attention to detail and follow sanitization rules
    • Able to stay on your feet for an extended period of time and lift up to 25 lbs unassisted
    • Ability to multitask and remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
    • Time management skills
    • Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality, with or without reasonable accommodation
    • Remain available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and/or holidays
    • Available to perform many different tasks within the store during each shift
