    Description

    DCI Job Requirement for:
    *Software Systems Engineer
    • Location: Hanover, MD
    *Job Description:

    Serve as a Software Systems Engineer

    Collaborate with various teams to translate operational requirements into software requirements

    Participate in planning, coordinating, scheduling, and directing technical support activities applicable to

    • Software development
    • Integration of software tools/capabilities
    Participate in the development and execution of software and system test strategies

    Review/assess developmental contractor software code to ensure compliance with government-provided standards

    Participate in government oversight of contractor software development activities, to include:

    • As a supporting team member in agile development paradigm activities (e.g., scrums, sprint retrospectives)
    • Generating recommendations to the government APM regarding development, planning, and testing
    Provide integrated, multi-disciplinary solution recommendations for resolution of technical problems


    Qualifications:

    • BS Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or Computer Science
    • 5+ years of Software or Systems engineering experience
    • 2+ years of cyber, Information Technogy, or C4ISR systems experience
    • Experience with containers and container orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, docker-compose, Kubernetes)
    • Experience with virtualized environments (VMs, VMWare)
    • Familiarity with CI/CD best practices and tools (e.g., Git, Gitlab, Nexus, Jenkins)
    • Familiarity with Application Programming Interfaces (APIs)
    • Experience with Linux OS
    • Familiarity with the RMF process and security assessment technologies (preferred)
    • Experience working in a DevOps environment (preferred)
    • Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Extreme Programming, Scaled Agile Framework)
    • Experience developing Web services software (preferred)

    Salary:

    • 15+ years of Software Development experience and a Masters of Science - $200,000-$250,000
    • 10+ years of Software Development experience and a Bachelors of Science - $150,000-$180,000
    • Job Type: Full-time

    Pay:
    $160, $250,000.00 per year
