    Job Summary:
    The Business Process Consultant I understand and is able to apply more complex leveled consulting methodology. Responsible for supporting the implementation of consulting projects through in-depth research, data analysis and recommends potential solutions. May also lead simple projects or process design efforts.


    Key Responsibilities:
    Demonstrates understanding of business unit and/or industry systems, processes and requirements
    Identifies what additional information is needed through research
    Develops understanding of competition/industry practices through various means to aide in decision making
    Gathers and analyzes business and stakeholder requirements, as well as collecting and analyzing process data to initiate, develop and recommend business practices and procedures
    Applies appropriate methodology with a moderate level of guidance and direction where appropriate
    Considers broad policies and professional standards when making recommendations about business practices regarding current projects that will simplify, automate, streamline business processes that will improve business outcomes
    May lead projects and program execution of low complexity to support business unit objectives to ensures successful completion of projects
    Analyzes information from a variety of sources and understands when to escalate matters of business risk that could put a project in jeopardy
    Writes and implements business plans for processes specific to business unit


    Supervisory Responsibilities:
    This job does not have supervisory duties


    Preferred Qualifications:
    Education and Experience
    Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
    2 or more years of related experience

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
    Consulting certifications (i.e. BPM, Six Sigma, ASQ) not required but preferred

    Functional Skills
    Insurance industry knowledge
    Problem solving and decision-making skills
    Good communication skills

    The base range offered for the role is:
    $45,000 - $60,000 and may vary based on internal equity, and job-related skills, knowledge and experience; among other factors. Other financial components may be added as part of the competitive compensation package, in addition to a full range of benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
