Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Officer

As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Learn more: As an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will conduct routine foot patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access control and alarm response as needed. You will greet shoppers and tenants with strong customer service, communicate clearly, and document activity using site technology. What You'll Do

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail property, including common areas, corridors, exterior walkways, and parking areas to help to deter unwanted activity.
Monitor access points and observe customer and tenant activity, identifying potential policy violations and/or hazards and reporting concerns to site leadership.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, coordinating with mall management, and contacting local responders when needed.
Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and/or other required documentation, communicating timely updates to supervisors and property representatives.

Minimum Requirements

A Guard Card/License is preferred.
Access Control/Badge experience is preferred.
CPR Certification is preferred.
Alarm Panel experience is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
