    Medical Laboratory Scientist at Providence Medford Medical Center in Medford, OR.

    Full-Time/Day Shift

    Responsible for specimen processing, test performance, test result reporting, and clerical and patient care support services. Provide service in one or more sections of the laboratory with a high level of accuracy, precision and timeliness and ensure compliance with departmental and regulatory agency standards. Service is provided to patients of all age groups: premature infants, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, young, middle and older adults. Provide service in a safe and professional manner and works within the established policies and procedures of the Laboratory and the Organization. Comply with the organizational and departmental specific requirements for infection control, hazardous material and safety. Report identified unsafe conditions immediately to a supervisor or to an appropriate department. Take corrective actions whenever such actions are appropriate and within the individual's ability. Comply with the principles and guidelines outlined in the Integrity Guide Employee Handbook and other departmental materials related to compliance with laws and regulatory requirements..

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology, Laboratory Science, or any related field, or foreign degree equivalent.
    • 1 year of experience as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist.

    Pay Range: $49,139 - $107,349 per year.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
