    Northrop Grumman Space Systems - Propulsions Division is currently looking for a

    Principal/Sr. Principal Cable & Harness Project Engineer

    to join our team at the

    Promontory UT

    , Facility.


    Responsibilities:


    The Cable & Harness Project Engineer is responsible for the preparation, scheduling, coordination, and monitoring of assigned cable and harness engineering projects.

    The Project Engineer must also monitor compliance with applicable practices, Quality Assurance and Quality Control policies, standards and specifications.

    Through coordination with stakeholders, the Project Engineer responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    Define and document electrical interconnects through coordination with system, subsystem, and unit engineers

    Incorporate project flow-down requirements into the harness/cable design

    Prepare content and support for program milestone reviews

    Prepare and present harness subsystem design, architecture, and implementation plans at various design and integrated product team meetings and reviews

    Assist in establishing harness/cable routing and segmentation


    Support the generation of analyses to support design development and verification such as voltage drop analysis and bent pin analysis.

    Prepare and maintain cable and harness specifications, manufacturing assembly drawings, interconnect and electrical signal schematic diagrams

    Provide support to Manufacturing and Operations during Assembly and Test

    Support Program proposals

    Mentor entry-level engineers

    Create and maintain detailed project schedules and team tasks

    Support development and interpretation of cable harness requirements primarily for the Space Launch System Boosters


    Preferred Qualifications:
    Experience with Microsoft Project


    Extensive knowledge of military standards of connectors, wires, and contacts for space applications such as MIL-C-38999, MIL-C-24308, MIL-DTL-83513, MIL-STD-1553, MIL-HDBK-83575, DOD-W-83575, NASA-STD-8739.

    4, IPC/WHMA-A-620

    Detail-oriented and have excellent verbal and written communications skills, leadership skills, and organization skills

    Proficient using harness design software tools such as E3 Zuken, Siemens Capital

    Experience with configuration management systems such as Siemens Teamcenter Epic or Siemens TCUA


    Qualifications and Educational Requirements:
    BS degree in Engineering required

    5 years' experience with BS; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD


    Position can be filled one level higher, 9 years with a BS, 7 years with a MS and 4 years' experience with a Ph.

    D.

    US Citizenship - required


    Salary Range:
    $90,400 - $135,600


    Salary Range 2:
    $112,000 - $168,000


    The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

    Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
