- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive Quality Assurance and Food Safety programs, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations (USDA, FDA, etc.)
- Lead and mentor a team of quality assurance professionals
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify and address potential issues
- Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as Sanitation, Sales, and Operations to achieve quality and safety objectives
- Analyze data and identify trends to continuously improve quality and safety processes
- Bachelor of Science degree in Food Safety, Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Science, or a related field
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in food manufacturing, with a preference for Ready-to-Eat (RTE) experience
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of HACCP principles and FSPCA standards
- A strong understanding of FDA and/or USDA regulations
- Six Sigma Certification
- One or more of the following certifications: Certified Internal Auditor, CIP/Fluid Systems Certified, GMP Audit Certified, Micro Certified, Sensory Certified
