- Perform inspections, routine maintenance, and repairs on general aviation aircraft, including airframes, engines, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and avionics.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot aircraft systems to identify and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
- Interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to guide maintenance and repair procedures.
- Conduct thorough pre-flight and post-flight inspections to ensure aircraft airworthiness.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed on aircraft.
- Perform scheduled inspections and maintenance tasks in compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and manufacturer guidelines.
- Collaborate with other aviation professionals, including pilots, mechanics, and engineers, to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure efficient aircraft operations.
- Order and maintain an inventory of necessary parts, tools, and equipment for aircraft maintenance and repairs.
- Keep up-to-date with advancements in aircraft technology, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Ensure adherence to safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Perform inspections and issue appropriate certifications as an Inspection Authorization (IA) holder.
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic certification is required.
- FAA Inspection Authorization (IA), however we will consider applicants without an IA that have the minimum experience to apply for the IA.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; completion of an FAA-approved aviation maintenance program or equivalent training is preferred.
- Minimum of [3] years of experience working as an A&P Technician in general aviation.
- In-depth knowledge of general aviation aircraft systems, components, and operations.
- Proficient in interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with FAA regulations and guidelines for aircraft maintenance and repair.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
- Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects and work in confined spaces.
- Valid driver's license.
