    Job DescriptionKirby Rehabilitation is looking for a full-time Mental Health Professional for our Mobile Crisis Response Team. The MHP works as part of an interdisciplinary team for clients who require community-based home and on-site crisis intervention services. This includes referrals as well as assessment and crisis intervention treatment. The Mobile Crisis Response team works a rotating on-call, 24-hour emergency services, 7 days a week.


    DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES & TASKS:


    Provides crisis intervention and stabilization (MCR) services within the community to residents dealing with crisis situations. This includes referrals as well as assessment and crisis intervention treatment.


    Contact Supervisor and utilize supervision to address assessment crises, problematic cases, general case reporting, need for special services, and need for resource information.

    Facilitate appropriate referrals as indicated to internal resources, as well as, to external resources


    Maintain all documentation that is required in a complete and timely manner and comply with all HIPAA and IDPH requirements.


    Represent the Agency in a professional manner including educating the community as to Agency services, fostering all collaborative relationships, and assisting in facilitation of MCR Program referrals.

    Attend all MCR and quarterly meetings as required.

    Perform other related duties as assigned by the MCR Supervisor.


    Qualifications

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    A bachelor's degree in counseling and guidance, rehabilitation counseling, social work, education, vocational counseling, psychology, pastoral counseling, family therapy, or related human service field; a bachelor's degree in Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related degree.


    Related experience should include work with adults, children, and adolescents, crisis intervention, assessment, case management, brief treatment, and home and community-based interventions.


    The ability to work as part of a team and collaborate with consumers, referral sources, and other community providers is essential.

    Ability to provide assessment services through crisis intervention to clients of all ages.

    Experience in case management, outreach, and/or community support.

    Documented 0-3 years of experience.

    Bilingual (English/Spanish) is helpful but not required.


    SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:


    Personal vehicle, valid Illinois driver's license, and vehicle insurance preferred

    Regular requirement to stand, and sit for long periods, with some walking, occasional bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling.

    Must pass mandatory background checks and pre-employment drug screen.
