- Responsible for setup and breakdown of event as well as cleaning of any area that was impacted as a result
- Interacts and communicates with both clients and staff
- Utilizes various types of equipment and machinery including Transit van (must have valid drivers license), golf cart, computer, printer, digital safe, vacuums, floor scrubbers, mop buckets, various table carts cleaning solution dispensers and other basic cleaning equipment
- Assists crew with transporting needs from one location to another, including large item disposal
- Setting of buffets, beverage stations and guest tables
- Prepares silverware, glassware and napkins for upcoming events
- Assists in maintaining event spaces, equipment and concession areas including vacuuming, sweeping, wiping down surfaces, window cleaning, and mopping
- Comprehending floor diagrams and executing with minimal supervision
- Inspection and upkeep of various equipmemt including carts, tables, chairs, buffet equipment, vending machines
- 18yrs of age
- valid drivers license (to drive zoo vehicles)
- The Toledo Zoo is a drug-free workplace, including marijuana.

GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB:
Under direct supervision from full time staff, this position carries out the instructions of supervisors, Leaders, Mangers and / or any Directors in the department outlined by event sheets/ BEO's, floor diagram and/or by direct communication with superiors. The Setup crew is responsible for set-up and tear down of events and concession areas as needed as well as cleaning and maintaining these areas and/or equipment.
RESPONSIBILITES INCLUDE:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Candidates must be able to take direction, have sense of urgency, work independently, with a team and multi-task. Strong customer service and communication skills are a plus. Previous food service experience is preferred but not required. Work schedules include weekdays, weekends, and can include holidays. Must have the physical ability to work on your feet and be able to walk the Zoo grounds for several hours at a time.
