    Proskauer Rose is seeking an energetic and hardworking intern in the Finance Department for our Benefits team. This positionwill support the department with day to day operations and projects.

    Responsibilities
    • Sorting and organizing physical mail to identify documents that need to be scanned and filed or appropriately destroyed
    • Ensuring timely and accurate scanning of all the benefits department documents to maintain up to date electronic files and organization of personnel files in the internal shared drive, including creation of individual folders, consolidating documents, scanning and saving documents not already included
    • Partner Beneficiary Review - Identify and document if Retired Partners, Optional Service Partners, Equity Partners and Income Partners have Benefit beneficiary documentation on file, in coordination with Estate Planning, and organize into a comprehensive list
    • Employee Beneficiary Review - Identify and document if employees have Benefit and Retirement beneficiary documentation on file and organize into a comprehensive list
    • Assisting with invoicing and overall organization of the departments
    • Miscellaneous assistance and help within the department as needed
    Qualifications
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Excellent analytic and organizational skills.
    • Proficiency in MS Office, with a focus on Excel skills.
    • Willingness to work collaboratively as a member of a team with a positive attitude.
    • Ability to work well independently and in a team-oriented environment
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality
    • High level of attention to detail and meticulous follow through.
    • Ability to ask questions when needed.
    • Any previous internship or work experience is a plus.
    This internship will run from June 3, 2024 through July 26, 2024.

    This position will require physical presence in Proskauer's offices on a regular basis (at least 3x per week, or more, if it becomes the policy of the Firm or as business needs require). The anticipated compensation for this position is $17 per hour. The actual salary offered will be based on a number of factors including but not limited to the qualifications of the applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
