    Position Description Summary:

    The George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates (MFA), is seeking a full-time academic Intensivist.

    The MFA is an independent, non-profit academic clinical practice group affiliated with The George Washington University and is part of a large academic health center.

    The George Washington University Hospital is a Comprehensive Stroke Center and Level One Trauma Center located in the heart of the nation's capital.

    Intensivists at GW work closely with other intensivists, neurosurgeons, trauma surgeons, cardiologists, cardiac surgeons and other medical/surgical sub-specialists in an environment that fosters collaboration.

    This is a non-tenure track appointment and will be made at a rank (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor) commensurate with experience.

    Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

    Responsibilities include providing comprehensive, multi-system care to critically-ill patients with general critical care including management of trauma patients, neurologically injured patients and cardiovascular diseases; teaching medical students, residents and critical care fellows; and pursuing scholarly interests

    Minimum Qualifications:


    Applicants must be board certified in Critical Care Medicine or any of the core specialties at the time of appointment.

    Eligibility for licensure in the District of Columbia is also required.
