    The Arch at 550 Madison Avenue is a private club level and amenity space serving this prestige office building's corporate clients. It is the heart of the building and a place where fine quality hospitality meet comfort and contemporary design. The space includes a 40 seat café, an espresso and wine bar, and nine separate private dining and conference rooms, including a library, screening room, billiards room and chef's table with dedicated kitchen. 550 Madison Avenue, located in Midtown Manhattan, is NYC's only landmarked building to achieve LEED Platinum Certification, a globally recognized symbol of sustainability achievement.

    Great Performances operates the Club Level Amenity Space at 550 Madison Avenue. Great Performances is the nation's first caterer to own and operate its own organic farm, Katchkie Farm, located in Kinderhook, NY.     Responsibilities

    • Provide excellent customer service as counter service attendant, cashier and barista
    • Maintain cleanliness of the cafe throughout the shift
    • Restock food and beverage items as directed by management
    • Perform opening and closing procedures
    • Follow NYC Department of Health regulations

    Qualifications

    • 1 to 2 years hospitality experience in a customer facing position
    • 1 year barista experience
    • Passion for food, beverage and hospitality
    • Strong verbal communications skills, including ability to describe menu items
    • Anticipates guest needs and derives satisfaction from providing excellent customer service
    • Professional demeanor and polished appearance with a warm and welcoming personality
    • Experience with restaurant POS systems, cash and credit card handling are a plus
    • Strong work ethic, well organized, focused, attentive to detail with a sense of urgency
    • Dependable and punctual
    • Enthusiastic, team player with a positive attitude
    • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., reach bend and stand throughout an 8 hour shift
    • Food Handler's Certificate a plus

    Schedule: Part-Time, On-Site

    Hourly Rate: $23

    Benefits: Sick time
