    Description

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    The Applications Support Analyst provides end-to-end support for multiple proprietary web-based applications with dependencies on multiple database technologies including SQL and PostgreSQL. End-to-end support may include resolving end-user requests, debugging application code, and configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting application infrastructure such as databases, networks, virtual machines, and application gateways in a cloud computing environment. The Applications Support Analyst engages with the product at every stage, from design, through testing and then into production and support. This role will support the business by ensuring the maximum operability of our systems. Uptime, response time, and customer responsiveness are paramount. This role primarily utilizes Microsoft Azure, Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, pgAdmin, Microsoft Office, and GeoCall applications.

    Essential Functions

    • Troubleshoot complex issues that may arise in applications or application infrastructure working to mitigate and provide a final resolution
    • Manage deployment and upgrade processes of proprietary applications
    • Manage deployment and upgrade processes of application infrastructure pertaining to proprietary applications
    • Provide full software application and application infrastructure support
    • Assist in handling and analyzing the feasibility of application enhancement requests and development of environment application upgrades
    • Identify opportunities to improve workflows and processes and propose strategic solutions.
    • Log common application issues to suggest new feature recommendations and/or bug fixes.
    • Assist in the development of test plans to verify core functionality of modified/upgraded applications.
    • Maintain current knowledge of application features and relevant application technologies.
    • Develop and execute methods to communicate new features after application upgrades
    • Assist in the setup and administration of application service accounts utilizing the principle of least privilege
    • Document existing and future custom code solutions
    • Create educational documentation about application features, workflows, processes, etc. to be used by employees, members, and end users
    • Teach/present application features, workflows, and processes to employees, members, and end users
    • Interface and work with employees, members, and end users while providing complete customer satisfaction
    • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot reporting automation processes
    • Test, review, and debug new application features prior to deployment to production environments
    • Implement/deploy new application features
    • Present themselves professionally
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Work Environment:

    This job operates primarily in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, and fax machines. This job may occasionally require travel, by car, plane, bus, taxi, etc., to attend meetings, conferences, training, etc., and overnight stays.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    Required Education/Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field or equivalent experience.
    • Experience working in operations DevOps environments.
    • Experience in troubleshooting customer-related issues and managing customer relationships required.
    • Experience in resolving day-to-day support issues, ensuring effective and timely resolution of issues in a production environment, troubleshooting internal customer-related issues, and managing customer relationships.
    • Experience in working with Windows using command line tools for searching, scripting, and monitoring situations.
    • Ability to speak, read, and write in English fluently.
