    Overview

    Reporting to the Property Manager, and under general direction, the General Maintenance/Porter is responsible for cleaning and minor building and grounds repairs and preventive maintenance of the Property

    Responsibilities


    • Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming
    • Clean and supply restrooms
    • Clean windows and mirrors
    • Dusting, and other tasks related with general cleaning.
    • Trash removal, recycling and compacting
    • Replenish cleaning and maintenance supplies
    • Operating floor machines for cleaning, waxing and buffing
    • Machine cleaning/maintenance as needed.
    • Employee moves, rearranging furniture as needed
    • Complete assigned work orders
    • Other general cleaning or light-duty maintenance responsibility as assigned
    • Provide support for dock/freight activities, receive, and log all parcels, and deliver to end users.
    Qualifications


    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
    • Previous janitorial experience required
    • Knowledge and understanding of safety and security procedures and comply to environmental policies as it applies to cleaning chemicals
    • Must provide exceptional customer service to all tenant employees and staff
    • Ability to follow schedules and keep commitments
    • Must be able to do physical work and operate power equipment normally found in janitorial operations
    • Attention to detail
    • Ability to follow directions from a supervisor
    • Ability to demonstrate professionalism
    • Must be able to manage time efficiently and to work individually as well as within a team
