    TotalMed Staffing Locums is seeking a Nurse Practitioner Pediatrics for a locum tenens job in Orange, California.

    Job Description : Specialty: PICU
    Contract Length: 13 weeks
    Shift Details: 12 hour shifts
    Schedule: 6 nights per week Dec-Feb
    Work Details:
    · Support staff: 4-5 nurses 1 respiratory therapist
    · Patients per day: 12
    · Patient population/age: 0-18 yo perhaps up to 21 for specialty
    · Department description: Round with nurses and manage patients in our PICU overflow/step down unit which includes infants smaller children with viral bronchiolitis and older children with chronic disease who are technology dependent tracheostomy/ventilator gastrostomy tube.
    · EMR: Cerner Epic
    · Hospital bed size: 12
    · Skills required: Must be able to assess diagnose treat and evaluate children with a critical condition. Must function as a positive member of the team able to interpret labs and other diagnostics
    Practice Setting:
    · Hospital
    Requirements:
    · Board Certification: CPNP-AC. Will also accept critical care PA.
    · State license required: Active CA license
    · Certifications required: BLS PALS ACLS
    · Minimum experience required: 4 years
    Credentialing Timeframe: 30 days
