    Description

    SSI is seeking an experienced Data Visualization Analyst to support a Navy program based in Patuxent River, MD.

    Remote work with requirement to be regularly onsite in Patuxent River, MD for team meetings at least one day per week.

    Additional occasional onsite visits are required for meetings.


    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Work on high-visibility/mission critical aspects of a dashboard development project for a Navy aviation program as part of a teamAnalyze large sets of data to answer business questions identified by senior leadershipProactively work with teams in Navy offices to understand different business perspectivesDevelop and present insights and recommendations to senior flag officer leadershipDevelop, implement, and support the usage of the dashboard, data visualization toolkit, configuration, deployment and usageDevelop innovative solutions to complex problemsRequirements


    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
    :

    Active Secret clearance

    Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related IT field, or experience in lieu of degreeMust have in-depth experience with data visualization technologies such as Tableau and MS PowerBIKnowledge of advanced features such as:

    calculated fields, parameters, table calculations, row-level security, R integration, joins, data blending and dashboard actionsMust be able to demonstrate Tableau Dashboard skills via portfolio presentation and/or screenshotsMinimum of 3 years of experience with data visualization toolkits and SQL queriesKnowledge of data visualization best practices in performance tuning and user-centric designKnowledge of MS Suite of Power Apps and how the dataverse is tied to AzureDemonstrated ability to communicate effectively via presentations, meetings and written reportsStrong ability to work as a team player, receive tasking and interface with key team membersExcellent critical thinking and analysis skills, creative thinking is key


    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    Navy experience to include working knowledge of naval aviation logistics subject matter:

    parts, maintenance, schedules, training, etc.
    Experience with existing Navy data systems such as FlankspeedPython Coding experienceQlik experienceSCRUM experience a plus

    Salary Description

    $100-$130K
