    Responsibilities

    Manage Outpatient Heart Failure Clinics

    • Implement guideline-based protocols.
    • Train and monitor CHF Advance Provider Practitioners.
    • Track and document improvement in system-wide Heart Failure outcomes.

    Create Interdisciplinary Programs

    • Create an interdisciplinary program for both HFrEF and HFpEF.

    Develop Inpatient Congestive Heart Failure Program

    • Provide inotropic support.
    • Collaborate with CT surgery and Interventional Cardiologists on current LV assist devices, Impella, IABP.
    • Guide CT surgery and cardiology on possible future LVAD support.

    Enhance EP Aspect of Baptist Heart in Heart Failure Patients

    • Increase the appropriate use of Bi V ACID devices in HFrEF patients.
    • Guide the appropriate management of cardiac dysrhythmias in HFrEF patients.
    • Develop and guide the use of invasive/device-based hemodynamics monitoring of patients.

    Expand Structural Heart in Congestive Heart Failure Patients

    • Mitral Clip.
    • TAVR.

    Create Specialized Cardiomyopathy Clinics

    • Amyloid.
    • Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy.
    • Advance HFpEF.

    Create Pulmonary Hypertension Program

    • Involved in Clinical Research.

    Education Required

    Doctorate of Medicine.

    Experience

    • New and experienced physicians are encouraged to apply.
    • Skilled at Myocardial Biopsy.
    • Able to perform right heart catheterizations to diagnose and treat pulmonary hypertension.

    Certification

    • Board Certified / Board Eligible in Cardiology and Advanced Heart Failure.
    • Board Certified/Board Eligible Physician (MD or DO) Required.
    • Ability to obtain an active and unrestricted Florida Medical License Required.
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required.
    • Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) License Required.
