    Vale Group has partnered with a company in the Aerospace industry, based in Springfield, MA, who is actively searching for an experienced

    Quality Engineer

    to work on-site for an opportunity with a salary range between $95-110K based on experience.

    The individual will be assisting during the New Product Introduction (NPI) with QA section of planning, review applications of Supplier Quality Assurance Requirements (SQAR), control plans and prepopulated First Article Inspection Reports (FAI) per AS9102.

    Requirements of the Quality Engineer:

    • 5+ years of experience in Aerospace industry
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
    • ASQ or equivalent certifications preferred
    • Strong communication and leadership skills
    • Advanced knowledge of AS9102 and AS9100 standards
    • Experience with PPAP, PFMEA and Control Plans
    • Preferred experience with SAP and Oracle

    Responsibilities of the Quality Engineer:

    • Develop, implement and maintain quality control systems
    • Conduct First Article Inspection Reports (FAI)
    • Review and approve supplier quality assurance requirements (SQAR)
    • Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects
    • Conduct internal and external quality audits
    • Support NPI team with quality planning and documentation

    Responsibilities of the Quality Engineer:
    Maintaining and Continuously Improving the Quality Management System (QMS)
    Act as the company Quality Management Representative, if needed.
    Act as the Liaison for interface with customers, suppliers, and regulatory agencies.
    Member of Material Review Board (MRB) Team, which includes the review of all nonconformances, with cross functional team members.

    Lead the Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) Team, which includes performing root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions with cross functional team members.

    Assist during the New Product Introduction (NPI) with QA section of planning, review applications of Supplier Quality Assurance Requirements (SQAR), control plans and prepopulated First Article Inspection Reports (FAI) per AS9102.

    Assist in the development of training and verifying training effectiveness.
    Author or revise documents such as procedures, processes work instructions, etc.
    Coordinate and perform internal audits
    Coordinate and perform preassessment prior Nadcap Audits, support during Nadcap audits and documented corrective actions.
