Apple Valley Village is looking for a Full-Time Wound Nurse to join their team as a Registered Nurse (RN). As a Wound Nurse, you will be responsible for wound assessments and management for residents and act as a resource for staff. The ideal candidate should have prior supervisory/leadership experience, excellent communication skills, and strong problem-solving abilities.

RN Wound Nurse responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate wound care plans for residents
• Act as a resource to staff, nurse practitioners, physicians, residents, and families
• Document wounds and measurements, update physician on progress, and obtain new treatment orders if necessary
• Audit nurses during dressing changes to ensure proper technique
• Inform Clinical Manager, attending physicians, and family members of significant changes in a resident's condition and take required follow-up steps
• Perform additional duties as needed

RN Wound Nurse skills and requirements:

• Must hold a current Minnesota Registered Nurse license in good standing
• WOC or WCC certified preferred, or willing to obtain within 6 months of hire
• Previous supervisory/leadership experience is a plus
• Thorough knowledge of wound staging
• Self-starter with teamwork mindset
• Strong communication, organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving skills
