    Square Financial Services, Inc ("SFS") is Block's bank. We opened in March 2021 and provide lending and FDIC insured deposits services to small businesses on a nationwide basis. The SFS Strategy and Product team enables the bank with modern infrastructure and high-quality services, and is responsible for developing and executing on the Bank's strategic roadmap. We aim to become Block's bank in both name and practice, and focus on empowering the small businesses and consumers served by the Block ecosystem.
    The Role
    The Program Analyst plays a key role in supporting our Change Management Program and Program Managers. The Change Management Program oversees changes to the Bank's products and includes all types of changes including customer communications, product changes, credit, etc.
    This role is crucial to ensuring change management reviews are completed accurately, efficiently, and in alignment with regulatory and internal requirements. This role sits at the nexus of all changes for the Bank's products and as such is a highly visible and critical position. This role will work closely with cross-functional partners across product, credit, risk, legal, finance and accounting, compliance, and operations to coordinate review workflows, track and document approvals, and maintain clear communication throughout each review. This role drives accountability to our process while also constantly seeking ways to improve our processes.
    Additionally, the Program Analyst supports strong working relationships across SFS and Block teams by serving as a reliable point of coordination and communication. This individual will be expected to assist the Program Managers in fostering trust, accountability, and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
    You Will
    Change Management Review Process Governance

    • Coordinate end-to-end change management review workflows for:
      • New and altered customer-facing collateral (marketing, customer servicing materials, and other customer facing language used with SFS products/services)
      • Product changes (changes to the way customers/prospective customers experience and interact with an SFS product/service)
      • Credit and underwriting changes (changes to criteria and guidelines used to decision access to credit through SFS)
    • Manage review schedules, timelines, and dependencies across multiple stakeholders
    • Ensure review requirements are clearly communicated and consistently followed
    • Support adherence to internal controls, governance standards, and regulatory expectations as outlined by policy or procedure
    Approval Tracking, Follow-Up, and Documentation
    • Track approvals, feedback, and open items across all change management review types
    • Follow up on outstanding questions and requests to drive timely completion of reviews
    • Push approvals through required channels, including formal sign-off and escalation paths
    • Maintain accurate records of review status, decisions, and approvals
    • Explore ways to improve workflows through tooling and automation, including leveraging AI and emerging technologies to enhance visibility, efficiency, and scalability of review and approval processes
    Communication and Documentation
    • Monitor Slack and other collaboration channels for review-related discussions and decisions and general conversation related to SFS products.
    • Track discussion threads to ensure follow-ups are completed and documented
    • Capture, organize, and distribute meeting notes, decisions, and action items
    • Provide clear, timely status updates to stakeholders
    Coordination and Program Support
    • Coordinate and schedule meetings with cross-functional teams
    • Prepare agendas and meeting materials to support effective discussions
    • Attend meetings to document outcomes, decisions, and next steps
    Assist in preparing committee meeting materials
    You Have
    • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working within structured processes
    • Systems-minded with an interest in improving workflows through tooling and automation, including leveraging AI.
    • Proactive in following up and driving work to completion
    • Clear and thoughtful communicator, both written and verbal
    • Able to manage multiple workflows while maintaining accuracy and consistency
    • Collaborative and effective when working across regulated, cross-functional environments
    • Experience in program coordination, operations, or process management roles
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills
    • Experience supporting cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments
    • Familiarity with collaboration and documentation tools (e.g., Slack, document repositories, scheduling tools)
    • Experience working in regulated financial services environments
    • Familiarity with change management governance processes

    Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate's starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
