Job Summary:

Provide quality education for Central Arizona College Pharmacy Technician program students
Accountable for the overall quality of the program and teaching courses leading to an entry level Pharmacy credential

Responsibilities:

Teach up to 9 equated hours in Pharmacy techniques, practicums, calculations, certificate review, and pharmacology
Utilize various teaching/learning styles including online, hybrid, interactive television, weekend classes, and evening or late start classes
Evaluate student progress through a variety of assessments tools and communicate with students frequently through various means
Develop materials, prepare syllabi and calendars, and propose new courses and curriculum as necessary
Oversee recruitment, admission, and retention of students, manage budgets, and supervise staff
Implement the program review process and participate in hiring, evaluation, and development of faculty and staff
Schedule classes, instructors, and facilities, and represent the division on college committees, state meetings, and accreditation processes
Ensure the maintenance of an accredited pharmacy technician program

Qualifications:

Associate degree or currently enrolled in an associate degree program
Licensed Pharmacist or National Certified Pharmacy Technician
Graduated from an ASHP/ACPE accredited pharmacy technician training program or has an appropriate state teaching credential
At least 5 years of experience as a pharmacist or pharmacy technician prior to applying

Location: Central Arizona College, SMC site

Salary: Dependent on qualifications

Start Date: Summer 2024
