    Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist

    Location: Oak Lawn, IL

    Employment Type: Full-time, Contract

    Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team for the school year in Oak Lawn, IL. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive speech and language services to students in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and state regulations. This position offers the opportunity to work within a supportive and collaborative educational environment while making a positive impact on the lives of students.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments to determine students' speech and language abilities, including receptive and expressive language, articulation, fluency, and pragmatic skills.
    2. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and intervention strategies to address students' speech and language goals and objectives outlined in their IEPs.
    3. Provide direct therapy services to students in both individual and group settings, utilizing evidence-based practices and therapeutic techniques to facilitate communication skills development.
    4. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to support students' academic and social-emotional needs within the classroom and other learning environments.
    5. Monitor students' progress regularly through ongoing assessment, data collection, and progress reporting, adjusting intervention plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
    6. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, eligibility evaluations, and IEP meetings to contribute insights and recommendations regarding students' speech and language needs.
    7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of services provided, including progress notes, session logs, and other required paperwork in compliance with school policies and regulatory requirements.
    8. Stay current with developments in the field of speech-language pathology through professional development opportunities, continuing education, and participation in relevant workshops or conferences.

    Qualifications:

    1. Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
    2. Valid Illinois state license in Speech-Language Pathology (or eligibility for licensure).
    3. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
    4. Experience working with school-aged children in a educational setting preferred.
    5. Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders, assessment tools, and intervention strategies.
    6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
    7. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a commitment to providing high-quality services to diverse student populations.
