    You play a crucial role in ensuring smooth surgical services by meticulously handling all the details. As a key member of the surgical team, you assist by providing the right instruments and supplies.     Legacy Meridian Park Medical Center stands out as the top-choice full-service medical center in the South metro area. Combining the warmth of a community hospital with the expertise of a larger facility, we excel in specialties like stroke treatment, minimally invasive surgeries, cancer care, orthopedics, and more. Our cutting-edge facility boasts 10 Operating Rooms, including advanced robotic surgery options like DaVinci and Stryker Mako.

    Responsibilities

    Join the surgical team to provide essential support services for patient care in a safe and efficient manner. You will assist in passing instruments and supplies during procedures, help in setting up surgical suites, and provide aid in non-surgical patient care under supervision. Additionally, you may take on the role of Core Technician, responsible for maintaining sterility and supplying instruments as needed.

    Qualifications

    Experience:

    Prior experience as a surgical technologist is preferred.

    Education:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program approved by CAAHEP or ABHES is required.
    • Candidates with military or specific work experience within the last few years may have the education requirement waived.

    Skills:

    • Essential patient care skills as needed for the role.
    • Knowledge of medical terminology.
    • Proficiency in using electronic systems and basic keyboard skills.
    • Understanding and application of sterile techniques and surgical procedures.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
    • Adaptability to changing situations and environments.
